This video shows how a small piece of land can provide large scale self-sufficiency. They also mention that self-sufficiency is the “Road to Freedom”. Keep in mind, those of us living in the American Redoubt, would need to use some creativity to be able to produce a large variety of food year round.
New to gardening? You can always start small with container gardening or a few raised beds.

to bad the father has communist leanings and is suing other growers for using the term :suburban farming. or something like that. He says he owns the word and has gone after other writers and preppers and growers because of it. Luckily he has lost all lawsuits and he lost a lot of followers as well.
I did not realize since I did not look beyond this video (history on this family). I did pick up on the “Global Warming” tossed in there and was bracing myself while watching it. Pretty good example of how we can become more self-reliant even on a small piece of land. That is sad to hear he has gone after people for a phrase……………Yes, that is one way to lose some followers, start suing people. 🙁
He may lean left, But If you notice, at 7:15, they are blessing the table before eating, so perhaps he recognizes that his efforts are possible only thru Christ.. If he was interested in real sustainability, he wouldn’t waste his efforts in a part of the country that is destined to become a giant sandbox…sad but, geographically, it seems like an exercise in futility.
