Digital Communications (PSK-31):
(Send or receive text messages over radio using your computer’s soundcard!)
Note: No Ham Radio License required to receive digital communications. This comes in to your computer through your sound card, so you can decode these signals into text from a Shortwave Radio Receiver or even a recorded audio file. Practice by playing Youtube videos of PSK-31 signals, like THIS ONE. There are two programs to choose from, FLDIGI and HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe). Both are great. I personally like the fldigi simply because I downloaded it first and have spent the most time with it.
